The James E Walker Library of Middle Tennessee State University seeks a tenure-track faculty member to provide research assistance, instruction, and collection development for print and digital resources in the visual and performing arts, and build collaborations across campus.
This is a 12-month, tenure-track position. All library faculty are expected to meet promotion and tenure standards.
Responsibilities
ALA accredited Master’s degree by the time of appointment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Understanding of the bibliography of the arts as evidenced through coursework or experience
Knowledge of and ability to work with a variety of office and library technologies
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team based environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in instructional or reference services in an academic library.
Experience with visual or performance arts collections or services in a library
Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant area of the visual or performing arts
